چکیده

Previous results on fermion chirality-flipping four-point functions are extended to SU(N) gauge theories. The problem is purely non-perturbative, and it is approached by truncating the Schwinger-Dyson hierarchy. The large-N limit also simplifies the problem substantially. The resulting equation is solved numerically by relaxation techniques and an estimate of the critical coupling and momentum behavior is obtained. We also comment on the behavior of chirality-flipping 2n-point functions for general n. Electronic address:[email protected] Electronic address:[email protected]. utoronto.ca

A possible scaling region of chiral fermions on a lattice

We present the details of analyzing an SUL(2) ⊗ UR(1) chiral theory with multifermion couplings on a lattice. An existence of a possible scaling region in the phase space of multifermion couplings for defining the continuum limit of chiral fermions is advocated. In this scaling region, no spontaneous symmetry breaking occurs; the “spectator” fermion ψR(x) is a free mode and decoupled; doublers ...

A Lattice Chiral Gauge Theory with Multifermion Couplings

Analyzing an SUL(2)-chiral gauge theory with external multifermion couplings, we find a possible scaling region where doublers decouple by acquiring chiral-invariant masses and ψR is free mode owing to the ψR-shift-symmetry, the chiral continuum theory of ψL can be defined. This is not in agreement with the general belief of the failure of theories so constructed . September, 1995 PACS 11.15Ha,...

A Lattice Chiral Theory with Multifermion Couplings

Analyzing an SUL(2) ⊗ UR(1) chiral theory with multifermion couplings on a lattice, we find a possible region in the phase space of multifermion couplings, where no spontaneous symmetry breaking occurs, doublers are decoupled as massive Dirac fermions consistently with the SUL(2) ⊗ UR(1) chiral symmetry, the “spectator” fermion ψR(x) is free mode, whereas the normal mode of ψ i L(x) is plausibl...

Further discussions on a possible lattice chiral gauge theory

In a possible SUL(2) lattice chiral gauge theory with a large multifermion coupling, we try to further clarify the threshold phenomenon: the possibility that the right-handed three-fermion state turns into the virtual states of its constituents (free chiral fermions) in the low-energy limit. Provided this phenomenon occurs, we discuss the chiral gauge coupling, Ward identities and the gauge ano...

Undoubled Chiral Fermions on a Lattice

We analyze the dynamics of an SUL(2)⊗UR(1) chiral theory on the lattice with a strong multifermion coupling. It is shown that no spontaneous symmetry breaking occurs; the “spectator” fermion ψR is a free mode; doublers are decoupled as massive Dirac fermions consistently with the chiral symmetries. In 1+1 dimension, we show that the right-handed three-fermion state disappears at the threshold a...
